Steak tartare is the name of a meat dish that is served raw. To prepare this food, lean veal that is of high quality is used and it can be either minced or cut very well into pieces and flavored with salt, pepper and vegetables. It is then placed in the form of a mound-like mass inside a plate, and the top is concave and the raw egg yolk is placed on it. This dish is usually served with caper bush, chopped parsley and onion.
The food is thought to have originated in the Baltic provinces of Russia, Tatars who lived in the area in Middle Ages cut red meat with their knives into strips and ate it raw.
Take the lemon juice, grate the onion softly, mix the salt, pepper and mustard with the grated onion and lemon juice, put the meat into it and mix well, finally add the vegetables and mix it. Divide it into two equal parts and shape the meat into a shape of orange with your hands and put it between two plates.
Wash and clean the eggs carefully then dry them, break the top of each egg, empty the egg white, then smooth the skin of the egg and place it in the middle of the meat and decorate around the meat with parsley and sliced onion.
Europeans eat raw tartar steak and mix it with egg yolk when eating meat and eat it with tomato sauce or ketchup.
We can prepare the meat in the above way and heat a little oil in a pan and arrange the meat in a circular shape about two centimeters thick by hand and fry both sides in a pan, fry two eggs and place them on the meat then serve this steak with tomato sauce or ketchup, which is ready to be sold in stores. Obviously, this way it is not called tartar steak, and it is called a kind of minced beef or a kind of hamburger with fried egg.
